We are the youth of today. We are way too busy in our fast paced lives. Right from studying or working for almost 12 hours a day, to maintaining a relationship, to thinking hard towards a brighter future, we have lots of things on our hands. After that we got to have some fun also, right? So we go to movies, play games, visits, facebook etc.
But little do we realize that it’s time that we should bring our collective actions and make a future for ourselves that brings peace and justice. Hardly have we thought about the Kairos Palestine document and how we can improve our actions towards it! We keep fretting and frowning on the government’s incapability. But don’t you think we have a responsibility of our own?
Youth has a major role as a cadre of social force to fight against occupation, a sin against God and humanity, because it deprives us from our basic human rights. In our day to day life we come across many difficulties and the abnormal structures of apartheid are becoming normal! Where is the moral responsibility of the international community in such a dehumanized situation?
We have reached to a dead end in the tragedy of our Palestinian people, no serious task of finding a way to resolve. No more talk has taken a step forward! But we still have faith in God, Hope is still alive and Love always exists! We are the youth of today for tomorrow’ s freedom.
Our message:We are a group of young Christian Palestinians from Zababdeh, Taybeh, Jifna, Ramallah, Bir Zeit, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Beit Sahour & Beit Jala, enthusiastic, dedicated and creative. We believe youth have the right to express their opinions and put in practice their initiatives. We know the moment to change is NOW and we want to use our collective actions and prayers to bring peace and justice.
- We don’t give up and we have faith
- We discovered we have the power to determine a change
- We know that we have no more time for waiting and talking
- We have decided and we have hope!
- We call upon young people all over the world: Open your eyes!
- Stand in solidarity with the oppressed and take positive actions
- Remember to care!
- Say “No” to violence and pain!
- “Don’t repay anyone evil for evil” (Rom. 12:17)
- Fight for humanity!
We are staying united and not divided, so that Palestine and its people will be free!
Kairos Palestine is a group of Palestinian Christians who authored “A Moment of Truth” – Christian Palestinian’s word to the world about the occupation of Palestine, an expression “of faith, hope and love from the heart of Palestinian suffering”, and a call for solidarity in ending over six decades of oppression. The document was published in December 2009.
